Meghan Watson is a Registered Psychotherapist and the founder and owner of Bloom Psychology & Wellness, a therapy collective of Black, Indigenous, South Asian and Multi-racial therapists based in Toronto.

With 10 + years experience in mental health and wellness, Meghan helps individuals, couples and organizations in building healthy connections, understanding their emotions and gaining skills to navigate the stressors of today’s world.

Meghan received her Masters (M.A.) in Mental Health Counselling and Behavioural Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine, with specialized clinical training in eating disorders and 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare.

Originally from the small island of Barbados 🇧🇧, Meghan has lent her expertise as a therapist across Canada and the United States. Her clinical expertise lies in the fields of eating disorders, LGBT2SQ and gender affirming health care, substance use and behavioural addictions, complex trauma, mood disorders and anxiety disorders.

Meghan sits on the Advisory Board for the National Eating Disorder Information Centre of Canada (NEDIC), and The Scatter Joy Project, a non-profit fighting for accessible and affordable mental health care for all. She is also a member of the The Alliance Collaborative — a select group of change-makers, thought leaders and activists at the National Alliance for Eating Disorders.

Outside of the therapy room, Meghan is a mental health consultant, writer and creator. Meghan works closely with organizations and companies in developing holistic, thoughtful mental health projects with a mindful and growth focused perspective on mental health.

Meghan is a sought after expert in her field, and has been featured in a variety of print and digital publications including ESSENCE magazine, Huff Post, Global News Canada, Architectural Digest, Madame Noire, Bustle, Well + Good, and Insider Magazine. She has appeared on numerous podcasts, radio shows and TV segments including CBC News & Radio, The Unfolding by The Loveland Foundation Be Well Sis with Cassandre Dunbar and Cleaning Up The Mental Mess with Dr. Caroline Leaf.

Meghan runs a popular instagram account @thrive_withmeg where she shares reflections, skills and tools on how to show up as your whole self through a self compassionate and growth focused lens.

When she’s not working, Meghan spends her time reading, watching reality tv, and tending to her urban garden. She currently lives in Toronto with her husband and one year old.
